Making the 2020 Census Count

The future of our community for the next 10 years will be heavily shaped by the 2020 Census. The US Census is used to determine how billions of our tax dollars are spent each year on things like education, healthcare, and social services. It also will determine how many congressional representatives we have as a state and how lines are drawn for districts at the local, state, and federal level. When immigrant communities are not accurately counted it hurts everyone. With all the fear and misinformation being spread about the Census our coalition is running an education campaign to make sure everyone in our community is counted. Legal anD family Support

SIRC provides rapid response support and financial assistance to families navigating the immigration system or facing deportation. We work closely with World Relief, Catholic Charities, and local immigration attorneys to support people to apply for documentation like Green Cards, DACA Renewals, or Asylum, and legal representation when someone is detained by ICE or Border Patrol.
